Beth Hawkes, MSN, RN-BC is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist with a broad background in acute care. She is published in the Association of Nurses in Professional Development (ANPD) journal and past editor of MEDSURG Matters, a publication of the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN). She is a subject matter expert for several large nursing organizations, including the American Nurses Association (ANA). Hawkes is a nationally known career counselor and columnist with an award-winning nursing blog, nursecode.com, and the author of Your Last Nursing Class: How to Land Your First Nursing Job… and You’re Next!

Dr. Laura Hendricks-Jackson

DNP, RN-BC, OCN

Dr. Laura Hendricks-Jackson, DNP, RN-BC, OCN has an array of nursing knowledge and experience in the acute care, academic, and community settings. Earlier in her career she served as the deputy director at an organization that supports vulnerable populations. Having left the community setting and before joining Sibley Memorial Hospital/ Johns Hopkins Health System, Dr. Hendricks-Jackson spent thirteen years at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and served in oncology, education, and nursing administration there. Dr. Hendricks-Jackson serves as a University Faculty for graduate and doctoral students and enjoys facilitating the transformation of learning. She is an exam item writer and subject matter expert for the American Nurses Association (ANA) and a Nurse Residency Program on site surveyor for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing (CCNE). Dr. Hendricks- Jackson is also a member of the Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Steering Committee. She received her doctorate degree in nursing (DNP) from Drexel University with a concentration in Executive Leadership and holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education as well.
