The American Nurses Foundation Teams Up with Supporters Chipotle, Skechers, and Create Amor for National Nurses Week

In support of National Nurses Week 2024, the American Nurses Foundation (the Foundation) is teaming up with Chipotle, Skechers, and Create Amor to bring exclusive deals and opportunities that give back to nurses for the month of May. All proceeds raised through their support will go directly to the Foundation’s work to undertake vital research, support nurses, and improve health care for all.

ANA Commends CMS’ Newly Established Nurse Staffing Standards for LTC Facilities

The American Nurses Association (ANA) applauds the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for issuing a final rule that sets minimum nurse staffing standards in long-term care (LTC) facilities across the country. ANA is especially pleased to see CMS include elements that it has long advocated for in the final rule —such as having a registered nurse (RN) onsite 24-hours, seven days a week in all LTC facilities.

Angela Beddoe Appointed Interim CEO of the ANA Enterprise

The American Nurses Association Board of Directors announces the appointment of Angela Beddoe as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ANA Enterprise, effective April 24, 2024. Ms. Beddoe will provide leadership for ANA, the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) and the Indiana State Nurses Association (ISNA) are deeply disturbed by the racist commentary of a white nursing student at Indiana State University posted recently to a video on Yik Yak. The commentary in the video is offensive and completely unacceptable and does not align with the professional values and standards of nursing.
