The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program (NCPD) announced its endorsement and adoption of the new Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.
The Nominations Committee of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors has approved the following appointments and reappointments to its Commissions. All terms, except the Emerging Leaders, will run from January 1, 2021 until December 31, 2024.

Illustrating the power of a “Magnet,” more than 10,000 nurses and other health care stakeholders are being drawn to Orlando, FL, to immerse themselves in a wide range of educational and innovative sessions, celebratory events, and networking opportunities at the 2019 ANCC National Magnet Conference®, which runs from Oct. 10-12. At the high-energy conference opening, attendees already were treated to performances by Opera Orlando, gained insights from opening speaker Gretchen Rubin on understanding personality tendencies to create better work environments, and learned firsthand about the 2020 “Year of the Nurse.”

The American Nurses Association (ANA) Board of Directors appointed leaders to serve on the 10-member board of directors for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). All terms of office begin on January 1, 2020.
Many nurses attending the ANA and ANCC conferences started their day on April 26 with a pitch – actually five pitches – from nurse innovators competing for monetary prizes at ANA’s live, interactive version of the TV show, “Shark Tank.”
When describing what makes a good leader and excellent – or “platinum” service, opening keynote speaker on April 25, Simon T. Bailey, talked about things like finding one’s spark and purpose at work, and creating an environment of love, kindness and connectedness.
