SILVER SPRING, MDToday, the American Nurses Enterprise Chief Executive Officer, Angela Beddoe delivered remarks at the annual Policy Summit for the National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurse Associations (NCEMNA). Beddoe shared her expertise and insights on the critical work of advancing population health equity and driving meaningful change within organizations. Her address served as a cornerstone of the event, highlighting strategic approaches to addressing health disparities and strengthening advocacy efforts. The event was also attended by other national healthcare experts and nurse leaders from across the country.

“If there’s one thing the past few years have shown us, it’s that nurses are always at the forefront. You saw it during the pandemic, when nurses stood between communities and crisis, showing up day after day with courage and compassion. And now, once again, nurses are being called to lead — this time, in the fight for equity, justice, and opportunity in our profession and in our communities. The American Nurses Enterprise is ready for this moment — because this is who we are. Nurses are advocates, healers, and bridge builders. We believe in creating the conditions for everyone to thrive — and we will not waver in that belief,” said Chief Executive Officer of the American Nurses Enterprise, Angela Beddoe.

“When organizations like the American Nurses Enterprise and the National Coalition for Ethnic and Minority Nurses Associations come together as a united front, leveraging all the resources we have at our disposal, to represent the over 1 million ethnic and minority nurses in the United States –– we become an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.  At that point, our influence, our impact and our power know no bounds. We envision a nursing profession where every nurse has the equal opportunity to excel, and every patient receives the highest standard of equitable care. We will not rest until health equity is a reality embedded in the heart and hands of every nurse and reflected in everyday practice. Together, we will lead the charge to transform healthcare into a system that is just, inclusive, and truly equitable for all.”
