You see it on your team every day. The burnout that goes beyond what should be normal – but is normal for nurses everywhere. You need tools and methods to lead and manage the stress injuries impacting individual nurses’ mental health – and potentially as a result – patient care.

The Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer and Leadership Support Program privides an initial step to providing support and care to nurses. You will gain skills on how to have tough conversations about mental health with staff, identify ways you can build healthy nursing teams, and understand the value of caring for yourself first.

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand your role in supporting your team through stressful situations and stress injuries.
  2. Explain how a supportive leadership and peer environment contributes to the well-being of nurses.
  3. Perform the 7 Stress First Aid Actions in your leadership role.
  4. Identify and address your own stress as a leader.
