This purpose of this independent study is to provide registered nurses with an overview of with an overview of sepsis what you must know to understand, identify, and treat this lethal condition.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the physiologic response to sepsis.

  2. Identify at least two treatment options for sepsis.

  3. State at least three strategies for managing sepsis.
