The American Nurses Association (ANA) Center for Occupational and Environmental Health provides the following information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR):
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) are supporting the National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures.
The goal of the National Conversation is to develop an action agenda — clear, achievable recommendations — that can help government agencies and other organizations strengthen their efforts to protect the public from harmful chemical exposures. The work is being conducted through six workgroups. ANA is represented on the Chemical Emergencies work group.
The draft of the National Conversation Work Groups has been posted for public comment until September 20, 2010 at: www.resolv.org/nationalconversation.
