Call for Volunteer Nurse Reviewer
The American Nurses Association is introduced a new recognition program for healthcare facilities that currently have a comprehensive safe patient handling (SPH) program. ANA is seeking applications from qualified volunteer nurse reviewers to conduct site reviews of these healthcare facilities.
Criteria for Volunteer Nurse Reviewer:
- Must be a licensed registered nurse in the United States.
- ANA membership required.
- Minimum of two years of safe patient handling peer leader role or occupational/employee health experience with safe patient handling programs.
Volunteer Nurse Reviewer Requirements:
- Time commitment: Two years
- Training: Each selected nurse site reviewer will receive a 2 day training program conducted by ANA at the ANA headquarters in Silver Spring, MD.
- Travel: Once initial site reviews are successfully performed, nurse reviewer must agree to participate in a minimum of two site reviews annually on a rolling calendar year.
How to Apply:
Each applicant will be required to submit a resume complete with 2 references who can attest to experience with SPH program leadership. Resume must provide evidence of required experience with experience with SPH programs.
