House Passes Health Reform
The long road to health care reform is almost at an end! House lawmakers passed the Senate health care reform bill, H.R. 3590, "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," by a vote of 219-212. The House also passed H.R. 4872, the "reconciliation bill," which made important revisions to the Senate bill, by a vote of 220-211. The passing of this historic legislation is an affirmation that Americans recognize the need for affordable, quality health care reform. There is still work to do. ANA urges its members to contact your Senators to urge them to vote YES on the reconciliation bill.
