What is different at the 2014 ANA staffing Conference compared to last year?

We heard your input! The ANA Staffing Conference returns with a fresh, new agenda filled with the innovative solutions you asked for. We listened to your feedback from the 2013 conference and put together a program that focuses on the practice level.  Learn best practices directly from hospitals in the important areas of; technology, acuity staffing models, and staffing committees.

What are the General Policies for the 2014 ANA Staffing Conference?

  • Children (including infants) are not permitted in the exhibit area or meeting rooms.
  • Must be 21 or older to attend receptions.
  • The recording and/or transmission of education sessions in any format is strictly prohibited.
  • English is the official language at the conference.
  • The information presented in sessions and posters does not necessarily represent the views or standards of ANA or its policies or programs.
  • Photography/Videography:

Professional photographers and videographers will take pictures and record video throughout the conference. The photos and video will be used to publicize the event and/or produce related literature and products for public release. Individuals photographed or taped will receive no compensation for the use of photos or videos bearing their image. Conference participants will be deemed to have consented to the use and release of photos or videos in which they appear. Participants opposed to being photographed or taped must immediately notify BOTH the photographer or videographer AND conference staff if they are photographed or taped.

  • Waiver of Liability:

I agree and acknowledge that I am participating in the 2014 ANA Staffing Conference. I agree and acknowledge that my participation in events and activities is voluntary and intentional; I fully accept responsibility for any and all injuries that occur to me as a result of my participation in the events and activities. I release ANA, its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, volunteers, contractors, and representatives from any and all liability resulting from (1) participation in the 2014 ANA Staffing Conference, (2) the condition of the facilities in which the events are held, and (3) the negligent acts of any other participant of the 2014 ANA Staffing Conference, whether directly or indirectly caused by ANA. I further agree that I, my heirs, next of kin, spouse, agent, or legal representative(s) will indemnify ANA from any and all liability resulting from my participation in the 2014 ANA Staffing Conference and not file any legal claims naming ANA as a party to the suit.

Will there be internet access at the conference? 

We understand your need to stay connected no matter where you are. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the main lobby, Vitascope Hall and Starbucks™. ANA has negotiated complimentary basic Wi-Fi for your guestroom, and it is included in your room rate. There is a fee to upgrade to premium and premium plus Internet options using Roomlinx on the in-room television. Complimentary Wi-Fi is not offered inside the meeting rooms.

When can I check-in and pick up my badge? 

Arriving Monday? Registration is open Monday, Nov. 3, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.  For a fast, easy registration experience, plan to pick up your conference badge and materials on Monday.   Avoid long lines and delays Tuesday morning.

BONUS! All attendees who pick up their badge on Monday, Nov. 3, are automatically entered in a drawing for a $100 gift card.

How should I prepare in advance to pick up my badge? 

Print and bring your registration confirmation. If you are part of a group registration, please first ensure that all group members have been confirmed. Verify that registrations have been paid in full―payment issues create delays at registration.

Make sure that all registration changes, corrections, substitutions, and/or TBD updates have been completed in advance of your arrival.
