Applications are now being accepted by the American Cancer Society
for their Career Development Grants.
This award supports graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in cancer nursing or a doctorate of nursing practice (DNP). Applicants must be licensed registered nurses, and be enrolled in or applying to an accredited graduate nursing degree program. The program of study must be offered within an academic institution (non-profit only) in the United States that can award an advanced nursing practice degree with demonstrated integration of didactic and clinical oncology content. The student must be advised by a faculty member responsible for the oncology nursing content in the curriculum or program of study proposed for the applicant. The stipend for each scholarship is $10,000 each year, and includes subsistence and tuition expenses.Scholarships are awarded for a minimum of one and a maximum of two years of funding. Continued funding is contingent upon satisfactory progress in the graduate program as documented in the student report. Application Deadline: February 1, 2013.
