Become a leader in the American Nurses Association (ANA), the professional organization that represents over 3 million registered nurses, by running for elective office. Nominations and elections are conducted biennially with nominations opening in the fall of odd-numbered years and elections conducted in even-numbered years at the ANA House of Delegates meeting.
The ANA Nominating Committee has issued a call for nominations for a slate of candidates to be presented to the House of Delegates at its June 13-16, 2012 meeting. Detailed information on the nomination process, positions to be elected, roles and responsibilities, and eligibility requirements can be found on the ANA Governance/Nominations and Elections section of the website [LOGIN required].
Nominations for the initial slate must be submitted by February 12, 2012. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor of the House of Delegates.
