The American Nurses Association (ANA) along with a broad array of other organizations is partnering with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in promoting National Healthcare Decisions Day

On Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST there will be a live webinar to educate the public about advance care planning from the legal, personal, and medical perspective.
This seminar provides an opportunity for lawyers, nurses, physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to learn about all aspects of advance care planning from some of the nation's foremost experts on advance care planning: Ira Byock, MD,Director of Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Betsy Clark, PhD, ACSW, MPH , the Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers and Bill Colby, Esq, Senior Fellow: Law and Patients Rights at the Center for Practical Bioethics. The event will be moderated by Nathan Kottkamp, Esq, Chair of NHDD.
