ANA Seeks Nominations for ICN’s International Achievement Award - 2009

The International Council of Nurses (ICN), in conjunction with the Florence Nightingale International Foundation (FNIF), is pleased to announce the competition for the 2009 International Achievement Award.

The Award is offered biennially to a nurse who is currently practicing nursing and impacting health internationally. Nursing contributions need to be evident in any two areas of nursing: direct care, education, management, and/or research. The nominee must be an ANA member through a Constituent Member Association (CMA) or ANA’s Individual Affiliate Membership program. The award recipient will be invited to give an oration at the Florence Nightingale International Foundation luncheon during the ICN 2009 Congress to be held in Durbin, South Africa, 20-26 June 2009.

Nominations must be completed and returned to ANA by 6 June 2008. As the ICN member, ANA is eligible to nominate one candidate for this award. No direct nominations are accepted by ICN. Additional information about the award and the nomination form are available from ICN’s website at
