Assistant Director of Accreditation Program


Position Title: Assistant Director of Accreditation Program - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
Job Type: Full-time RN Required

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for maintaining premier, evidence based, global accreditation services.
  • Leads the Accreditation Program assuring accurate, timely, high quality and cost effective accredited educational programs for educational providers and approvers.
  • Develops and implements an effective accreditation process, methodology, criteria, and standards; and identifies improvements and enhancements to the process.
  • Provides leadership, direction and coordination of the staff and external appraisers to include recruitment, training, staff development, performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Analyzes accreditation application decisions to identify factors impacting success of the application and identifies methods to assist applicant organizations to achieve success in achieving accreditation.
  • Develops and oversees annual operation budget (approximately $440K)
  • Develops global outreach
  • Creates opportunities to develop, negotiate, collaborate, and maintain constructive relationships and partnerships with external entities.
  • Develops a community of accredited educational providers.
  • Directs the accreditation renewal process every 3 years for currently accredited providers.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase awareness and expand business.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in nursing required.
  • A minimum of 15 years experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse.
  • Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation required.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as analytical, problem solving and computer skills.
  • Advanced group facilitation and public speaking.
  • Ability to recognize and address business opportunities.
  • Interpersonal skills and political sensitivity.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and appreciate cultural differences.
  • Healthcare background and familiarity with provider issues.
  • Fluency in Nursing Education Curriculum Design and Continuing Education.
  • Knowledge of the Accreditation processes in both educational settings and healthcare facilities
