Effective delegation is a critical component of quality of care and patient outcomes. Challenges in today’s healthcare environment require RNS to have the knowledge and critical thinking skills to effectively delegate to others.
Effective delegation requires knowledge and skills in matching the task to be carried out and the delegate. Registered nurses are expected to be knowledgeable about the principles of delegation, associated risks and benefits, and state laws and regulations governing their practice.
This webinar will focus on revisions to ANA’s Principles of Delegation and practice strategies when delegating.
- define relevant principles and provide registered nurses with practice strategies when delegating
- Define effective delegation
- Address barriers to delegation
- Review the Delegation Tree
- Case study/vignette
